Thank you to everyone who participated in making the first annual Hearts of Gold Walk to benefit Memorial Children's Hospital a smashing success!
Because of you, we were able to meet and exceed our fundraising goal and raise more than $57,000 to expand pediatric care for children in our region. We are incredibly humbled and thankful for your generosity, time and efforts in raising funds so that local families can stay together.
More than 900 people, making up more than 80 separate teams, decorated their shirts, strollers, and hats and walked the University Park Mall in honor of or in memory of a child they love.
The enthusiasm, support and love of everyone who participated filled the air, as kids enjoyed face painting, music and refreshments. Participants also loved getting their pictures taken with members of the Notre Dame football team, and many walked away with some great door prizes.
Stay tuned as we bring together a final tally. The online donation portal will remain open here for those still wishing to make a contribution.

Welcome to the Hearts of Gold Walk 2012!
Thank you for helping raise money so children like Madison can have access to the services, equipment and facilities they need right here in our region!
You will help more than 4,750 children served by Memorial Children’s Hospital each year, through your energy and effort raising money in the Hearts of Gold Walk this year!
The Memorial Children’s Hospital is the only designated children’s hospital in our region. Funds are being raised to help expand the pediatric services, facilities and equipment so that our children no longer have to travel hours away for care.
You support directly impacts local children and their families. With your help, families can stay together as they face the stress of having a child who is sick or injured.
There are many ways to get involved whether you’re an individual, business, or part of a team of people. Register as an individual walker or form a team! You can also donate to a Walker you know through this site.
This year, Maureen McFadden and Dr. Robert Sweeney will get the walkers ready to walk and roll for kids!
